Longevity Wines

Winemaker & Founder Phil Long of Longevity Wines, began his journey making wine in the garage with his wife Debra.  Now with over a decade of winemaking experience, and a list of awards too long to print, Winemaker Phil continues his journey with the constant of always improving in place. “In the business of winemaking, the minute you think you know it all, it’s time to get out.” 

Phil is one of approximately 50 Black-owned wineries globally, and is the president of the Association of African American Vintners. He continues to enjoy the challenge of making many different wines, and continues to strive for wines that are high in quality instead of high quantities.

Mimi's Chocolates

Free Range Flower Winery

Free Range Flower Winery is an award-winning, black-owned and operated Livermore Valley winery that handcrafts premium wine in small batches from locally sourced organically grown flowers – not grapes.

Drawing from her background in biology, herbalism and nutrition education, Free Range Flower Winery founder Aaliyah Nitoto combines her knowledge of flowers and plants, taste profiles, and science into the art of flower wine making.

Female & Black-owned, Vault California flaunts chic clothing, local & handmade gifts, accessories, and beauty & health products located in downtown Livermore. 

Oyo

Maurice Dissels, Founder of Oyo, is a South American-born native of British Guyana. He formally studied culinary arts with a strong background in Cajun/Caribbean cuisine and food science. He later moved to the United States, where he honed his crafts and skills at the culinary institute in Chicago Illinois, Grey Stone in St Helena Napa Valley and in restaurants from Chicago to Colorado and the Bay Area. 

Oyo’s cuisine embodies the diverse heritage of Guyanese cuisine with its eclectic mix of flavors emanating from the ancestral homelands of the Guyanese people. Curries and Lo-Mein from Eastern Asian, Jerk Chicken and Rundown Fish from the Caribbean, Pepper Pot from West Africa and South American Paella all find a home here at Oyo.

You might recognize Jeremy Troupe-Masi as one of the creative minds behind the local wine-centric podcast, Through the Grapevine. But, he’s also a Certified Sommelier and a pillar of our region’s hospitality industry. Jeremy is a man of many talents, having his hand in several community efforts inside and outside of the Livermore Valley Wine Country. From hosting exclusive wine tastings and workshops to organizing community events celebrating art, wine & food, he’s a mover and shaker helping to shape the Tri-Valley’s bright future.
