Visit a Pumpkin Patch
Located in Livermore, G&M Farms is packed with fall-fun for all ages. Check out their cow train, pony rides, straw bale maze, corn box, pedal carts, barnyard blasters or jumping pillows.
Not only can you pick from a massive field of pumpkins at Joan’s Farm & Pumpkin Patch, guests are able to feed farm animals, play a game of pumpkin bowling, try their hand at their new shooting gallery, visit Old West Town, and more. This business accepts cash only, but there is an ATM available on-site.
Moore Pumpkin Patch is home to a large selection of pumpkins, and admission includes the use of a wagon to haul your future jack-o-lantern to your car. You’ll also find fall photo opportunities, a hayride, a small corn maze, pillow jump, a pumpkin spin ride, and an animal observatory & corral.

Wine tasting in the Livermore Valley Wine Country is a year-round activity, but visiting during harvest season while the vineyards start to take on their autumnal colors is an especially scenic time to plan a trip to our wine region.

Get Lost in a Corn Maze
Open every year for the entire month of October, the massive corn maze at G&M Farms has been featured on the David Letterman show twice and is a Tri-Valley staple every fall. Take a shot at finding your way through six acres of corn maze.

Take a Stroll on the Iron Horse Trail
This 32-mile trail that runs from Concord down to Pleasanton not only connects most of the Tri-Valley together on one long stretch, but it’s a great place to enjoy fall scenery. Enter the trail in Downtown Danville near the Museum of San Ramon Valley to enjoy an easy, brisk and beautiful stroll on this mostly shaded trail.
Taste a Variety of Farm Fresh Apples
It’s not officially fall until you’ve tasted fresh-picked apples. Head to Alden Lane Nursery to try a variety of farm fresh apples grown locally at Dave Hale’s farm in Sebastopol. While you’re there, take a look at their selection of pumpkins available in all sorts of shapes and sizes, or snap a photo with one of their cute fall-inspired photo opportunities.
