It’s A Haunted Halloween in Wine Country

Livermore’s wine country is filled with treats for this month of Jack o’ Lanterns and masked mischief. Here are some of the ghoulish happenings about the Tri-Valley.

Big White House Winery/John Evan Cellars will take 13% off purchases on Halloween day, if you visit in costume. Watch John Evan, and Cellar Master, Jessica, slaving over bubbling cauldrons, making wine.

Don your costume, grab a picnic and head to Charles R Vineyards for some “Hallo-Wine” fun and Spooktacular Sips on Saturday, October 31, from 11:30 – 4:30pm. Challenge yourself to their blind tasting. Can you tell “Which Wine is WITCH?”

Nobody haunts like Concannon, and this year, from October 29 – 31, there are three ways to be utterly terrified: “Haunted Halloween Wine Walks,” “Trolley to Terror” rides with candy and wine that take you to Pirates of Emerson and “Love at First Bite,” with ghoulishly good pairings in the bone-chilling wine library. Dare ye enter?
