Downtown Danville invites canine bon vivants and their human entourages to its annual Doggie Night on May 21. The town is a dog-friendly destination year-round, but it really pulls out all the stops for this event, which marks its 10th anniversary this year. Last year 650 pooches and 2200 of their peeps took part in the festivities, collecting treats from retailers at stops around town and checking out the pet fair booths of vendors, dog photographers, pet sitters, veterinarians, trainers and more. New this year: Walk to Rescue! Gather pledges before the event, then visit the booths of local rescue groups to collect points. Get your maps and turn in your pledge forms at Molly’s Pup-Purr-ee at 425 Hartz Avenue.
