The Tri-Valley might be home to one of the oldest wine countries and one of the newest beer trails in California, but over the past few years its craft cocktail scene has become certifiably buzz-worthy. This laid-back Livermore lounge might boast a luxurious selection of chocolate and cheese fondues, but it’s also home to a full bar and over 180 creative martinis (most of which you’ve probably never heard of before). Choose from their extensive drink list or try one of their top martinis, like Mango Habanero, Sour Patch, Skittles or Coconut Lime martinis. The truly adventurous can order one of their rotating flights of six craft martinis, all with their own unique twist.

Wine Cocktails

Salt Craft, Pleasanton

Patio dining doesn’t get better at this entirely outdoor restaurant nestled in the heart of downtown Pleasanton. Browse their extensive menu (which includes their award-winning Pastrami sandwich) and pair it with one of their refreshing wine cocktails. Our favorites were the Orange Pluot and Peach Raspberry sangrias, but their Peach Bellini and Strawberry Rose Lemonade came in close as seconds!

Frosé

Beer Baron, Pleasanton

You might not think “cocktails” at a place named Beer Baron, but will now. Not only does Beer Baron feature a full bar with a rotating menu of creative concoctions, they also have a frosé machine. You read that right, you can find a glass of frozen rosé exclusively at Beer Baron’s downtown Pleasanton location. Pair one of these adult Slurpees with their Belgian Style Duck Fat Fries and thank us later!

Bacon Old Fashioned

Range Life, Livermore

Range Life in Livermore is a neighborhood bar, restaurant and market with an unforgettable take on California cuisine. Drawing from their close relationships with local farmers, ranchers and fishermen, this farm-to-table favorite is also passionate about their one-of-a-kind cocktails. While you can’t go wrong picking from their drink menu, we suggest stopping by for brunch to try their Bacon Old Fashioned made with overproof rye whiskey, maple syrup, and orange & angostura bitters.

True to the Tri-Valley’s farm-to-table form, you can count on this cocktail to incorporate ingredients that bring out the best flavors that each season has to offer. From rich and spicy tones that keep you cozy in fall and winter, to vibrant and juicy expressions of spring and summer, it’s the gift that keeps on giving all year long.

Custom Manhattan

This downtown Danville farm-to-table eatery is known for their imaginative use of fresh ingredients and their locally-famous Hush Puppies, but Danville Harvest also has a knack for creative cocktail-making. Order from their rotating cocktail menu, or for a truly libationary experience, build your own Manhattan using their vast collection of whiskeys, vermouths, bitters and tinctures.

Spiked Jarritos

Cinco tacobar, livermore

Cinco TacoBar asks its patrons to rethink their relationship with tacos and tequila which is easy to do with this boozy spin on a beverage that many of us remember from childhood. Besides this sweet and spicy treat, try their spicy jalapeño margarita or Oaxaca Mule made with mezcal.

Posada Livermore Sangrita

Sangrita

posada, livermore

This Southwestern eatery with a Mexican-inspired flare is one of the best places to sample various Livermore Valley wines while enjoying truly creative cuisine. However, on a hot day in the Tri-Valley you might want to try their signature drink: the Sangrita. This refreshing glass of frozen goodness combines wine agave, lime, and house made sangria made from local wines.
